Principal's Message

Welcome to our Vang Pao Website: 

Our school is named after a very courageous Hmong General who helped American troops during the Vietnam War. We are very proud of our school as we have a great staff, wonderful students, and a supportive community.

Vang Pao Elementary serves approximately 950 PreK–6th grade students and is proud to offer a Hmong Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program. This program promotes bilingualism, biliteracy, and cultural understanding by allowing students to learn in both English and Hmong.

We are committed to serving the students and families in our community through high-quality instruction, a strong focus on social-emotional learning, and meaningful family engagement. Our school provides academic support programs, after-school enrichment, and family events that help strengthen the home-school connection and celebrate the diversity of our community.

We also have teachers who participate in our district’s Teacher Residency Program, as we value educators and are dedicated to building the next generation of teachers in our district.
